Product Introduction

Introduction

Bifidobacteria make up more than 80% of the total microbial population in the gut, and Bifidobacterium bifidum is the second most dominant bacterium found in breastfed infants. During adulthood, the content of bifidobacteria decreases significantly, but remains relatively stable in numbers (2-14%) until, in old age, their numbers start to decline again, various diseases such as obesity, diabetes and allergies have been associated with reduced numbers of bifidobacteria at different stages of life.

Benefits

Bifidobacterium bifidum (B. bifidum), is an important bacterium capable of suppressing other microorganisms in the human intestinal flora. This probiotic has potential health benefits, such as reducing irritable bowel syndrome, diarrhea, and pathogenic infections.

Mechanism of action
By increasing IgA, IgM, and IgG while decreasing IgE, Bifidobacterium bifidum may help boost the immune system and reduce allergies at the same time.

Bifidobacterium bifidum can also balance the level of IFN-γ by reducing the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-4 and IL-5, and increasing the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10, and specific immune cell types (CD25 and Foxp3) produced to help improve allergies.

Bifidobacterium bifidum stimulates the immune system by significantly increasing the cytokines IL-2 and IFN-γ while decreasing the levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in aging mice.

In mice with IBD, Bifidobacterium bifidum inhibited Th1 responses and reduced pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, IL-6 and keratinocyte-derived chemokines), chemokines (MCP-1 ) and enzymes (COX-2, MPO), to reduce inflammation. It also reduces cell death by increasing the production of TLR-2 and PGE 2 .

Bifidobacterium bifidum inhibited pro-inflammatory IL-8 and NF-κB signaling in mice with H. pylori infection.

Bifidobacterium bifidum also increased cytotoxic activity at the periphery of CD8+ cells without reducing lymphocyte survival. Some strains can stimulate Th17 production.

Bifidobacterium Bifidum is a probiotic that has gained a lot of attention in recent years for its numerous health benefits. Commonly found in the human digestive tract, bifidobacterium bifidum is a strain of healthy bacteria that helps regulate the digestive system and promotes overall health.
