Bifidobacterium Bifidum is an important probiotic in the human intestine. More than 40 species have been discovered so far. Among them, the following types have been studied more and are closely related to human health:
1. Bifidobacterium longum: One of the most common species, widely found in the intestines of adults and infants, with functions such as regulating immunity and relieving inflammation.
2. Bifidobacterium infantis: Mainly colonized in the intestines of infants, helping to decompose oligosaccharides in breast milk and promoting infant digestion and immune development.
3. Bifidobacterium breve: Commonly found in the intestines of infants and adults, supports intestinal barrier function and may improve constipation and allergy symptoms.
4. Bifidobacterium bifidum: The earliest discovered species, which can inhibit the growth of pathogens and maintain the balance of intestinal flora.
5. Bifidobacterium animalis: including Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis, which is highly acid-resistant and is often used in fermented dairy products.
